An early goal on the 20th minute mark of the Proleague Canadian Soccer Association season opener between Durham Saints SC and Scarborough was enough to give the Toronto east end team a victory at the Centenial Sunday. Hamilton Eagles also kicked off the new season with a victory, a 4-2 result over Toronto Elite and in the third match of three Golden FC scored a impeccable 4-1 win over the Brampton Tigers SC.

Scarborough forward Kulwinder Singh drove the ball into the Saints net out of reach of the goalkeeper Aleksandar Prokupcky from a close range to score the winner in an attractive even contest through the remainder of the first half and a scoreless second half through to the final whistle.

Jerry Milo opened the scoring for Toronto Elite at 22 minutes and Strahonja Knezovic drew level for Hamilton Eagles just before the break. Hamilton Eagles pressed during the early stages of the second half with Bogdan Milosavljevic and Vidoje Tadic coming close to scoring including Vlahovic striking the post.

Hamilton Eagles took 2-1 lead at 55 minutes with a drive from the right wing from Bogdan Milosavljevic and Toronto Elite tied the score 2-2 at 70 minutes when Joseph Drane collected the ball inside the Hamilton Eagles half to move in and find the net.

Hamilton Eagles took a 3-2 lead when Tadic crossed the ball for Nemanja Ristic to head into the net from 10 yards and the Eagles went further ahead 4-2 with a left foot snap shot by Strahonja, his second of the match at 83 minutes a 4-2 score at the final whistle.

Proleague Canada clubs Golden FC and Brampton Tigers SC played the late game with forward Ilir Vasyl opening the scoring from the penalty spot for Golden FC at 19 minutes, a 1-0 lead at the break. Midfielder Jesus Hernandez made it 2-0 at 46 minutes, Angelo Campos increased the lead to 3-0 at 56 minutes and Campos struck his second for a 4-0 lead two minutes later. Midfielder Ranjit Singh scored the lone goal for Brampton Tigers SC at 70 minutes for a 4-1 score at the final whistle.
